This is an in-between patch between now and the HUGE update incoming whenever the website is finished (@JustBryant). This will feature some balance changes, a major rework to Gardener, as well as some minor reworks here and there. This is, in part, a portion of our "BIG PATCH" that we're shipping early- so you can probably expect less loot/balance changes when we finally get to the "BIG PATCH", but we thought we should push it out now, especially since it has been a LONG time since the last KDR update!
Class Changes
Gardener- fully reworked! Gone are the days of "finding Sylly Sylvans or bust", and gone are the days of sitting on Trent and hoping it becomes large enough that your opponent can't beat over it! Ultimately, some of the class reworks in this update are fixing classes that "don't play KDR", and rather just play with cards. It's less fun than other classes to have a OPD skill, or have a skill that doesn't have an active effect!
Which leads me to Velociraptor. We're taking inspiration from our old Velociraptor class, so OG KDR2 fans will greatly enjoy this new feature!
Dino DNA
During your Battle Phase, you, the Velociraptor, gain 1500 ATK, plus 200 for each STR you have, and you can declare an attack as if you were an attack position monster, but you cannot attack directly.
(It still turns all of your monsters into dinosaurs, btw, this is just the cherry on top!)
Amaru got their unique skill, El Thor buffed (and slightly reworded), getting an additional Normal Summon for free!
Esper got a very minor change, allowing it to change a monster into a non-tuner as well.
Check out Gardener, Velociraptor, and Amaru!
Classes with Inventory Changes:
Warrior gets some new tools in their base loot (Gouki! Another War Rock!)
Mage & Wizard (Fairy Tail Luna)
Peasant attains the Holy Grail in the form of World Chalice
Nephalem & Paladin receive D.D. Esper Star Sparrow, another LIGHT Warrior target for Paladin that you can foolish it off the skill, and then if your opponent makes the mistake of attacking directly, it revives itself and is a LIGHT Warrior target for you to protect with your Legendary Quest!
AlIen is getting some base inventory changes- King of the Feral Imps is far too powerful, so they're getting a bigger loot rework in order to balance out the curve of the deck.
Classes with Loot Changes:
Toy Maker
Necromancer
Mage/Wizard
Gardener
Warrior
Miner
Gambler
Cyborg
Peasant
Nephalem/Paladin
Banlist Changes
As a reminder, our banlist follows similar rules to the "Duel Links" banlist, where you can run only 2 of a "Limited 2" card, or 1 of two different "Limited 2" cards, etc. This means cards can also be limited 3, and so on. Check out the banlist page to learn more!
Limited 2
AlIen:
King of the Feral Imps
Mitsurugi Prayers
