Huge content update patch this time around. We ended up adding 3 classic KDR classes back, some with more changes than others, and had 2 reworks. Much less focus on balancing in this patch, that'll come in the next few patches and potentially some mini patches.
Coin tosses and die roll gallore! Gambler is back and slightly better than ever! Had the few changes we've been able to do with it's loot and has mostly remained the same. Good or bad, strong or weak? That's up to fate!
Despite the name, this Class is all about the Thunders! Sacrifice Extra Deck utility to swarm your board with monsters quickly, stack up on your Counters to strengthen your board before pushing in for huge damage.
Subclass no longer! The Gadgets are here standing on their own. Flesh is weakness, accept our mechanical overlords. Use your Gadgets to gain additional Summons, outvaluing your opponent. Use the smaller machinery to upgrade your big monsters.
It's no secret keeping track of the 7 effects all your monsters can gain at any given time is a MASSIIVE pain. And on top of that they're really just not that good. We've given Elementalist a rework, combining the Attributes so there's now only 3 potential effects, with a bonus if you control all the Attributes that provide the same effect. The rework doesn't stop with the Skill, as the Relic has also been given some love. Ditching the requirement to Ritual Summon Doriado entirely, and having her provide a different effect for all your monsters on top of being every Attribute.
So much wrong here. Let's start with the Skills. The Unique Skill has been reworked, now just allowing you to change your monster to Defense Position regardless of an opponent's monster being there. You are still able to change their monsters however, and can now change the Battle Position of any face-up monster they control, not specifically Attack Position ones.
The Quest now requires you to control a face-up Defense Position Spider monster, and will let you Equip an opponent's Defense Postion monster to the Kumootoko you summon. The Relic now changes the first monster Summoned by your opponent to Defense, and functions as an extender once per turn while your opponent has a Defense Position monster.
You may be deciding if you'd ever want to play a Spider monster in your Deck, which is a fair question. Well to replace the (How the hell did it ever get past both our eyes) previous Tip Skill, the new one Reincarnated as a Spider, is our first Stackable Tip Skill. Each stack allows you to choose a monster in your inventory and make it a "Spider" monster.
As you may have already seen, the Loot changes are pretty major. Farewell to the Battlwasps! What's taking its place? Guess you'll have to find out.
Very minor rework here, returning their Draw Phase to them (Mage can rest easy). Other than that, replacing the powerhouse that is a Neo-Spacian with some guy you'd see in 2005.
Just a couple things in the Loot department getting changed here.
A few changes, one in the starting inventory and a couple more in loot. I'll give you 1 guess as to what it could POSSIBLY be...
Thunder Dragon Titan is a card we really don't want you spamming out. We've seen it in KDR2 and are quite eager to avoid it again. So he's being immediately put to Limited 1.
