CDR, or Character Dungeon Run, is an anime inspired version of KDR. Instead of focussing on custom designed classes, each character comes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. Their starting cardpool is exclusively cards they played in the show, with loot giving them access to new archetypal support, powerful engines, and staples. The powerlevel of this starts a lot lower than regular KDR, but ramps up fast and far surpasses it.
Characters have replaced Classes, pick from iconic duelists from various eras of Yu-Gi-Oh! Each character will be focussed in on a specific Deck/Archetype of theirs, and the loot will reflect that. So no worries about Yugi having 5 different Decks worth of loot.
The Unique Skill of a Character will relate to their Deck. All Unique Skills in CDR have a "Once per turn" clause on them.
Your Legendary Monster is the iconic card for a Character. From "Dark Magician" to "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman", you'll be wanting to play their ace monster.
Legendary Quests have changed for CDR. What used to be a condition, now is simply a goal. All Legendary Quests simply require you to Summon your Legendary Monster to complete them and unlock your Legendary Relic. Relics function the same as always.
The Base LP Rule is no longer a thing for CDR. While used in regular KDR as a method against OTK's, this will mirror a much closer state to modern Yu-Gi-Oh! including the amounts of interruptions available. You can still increase your LP with CON if you choose to invest into it.
The Banlist for CDR functions like a regular TCG list and NOT like Duel Links.
